Water Pump Problems

The only accesories I am running on my fox is alternator and water pump. I also have an adjustable alternator bracket to get rid of the huge ugly stock tensioner and bracket. My belt is now on the opposite side of the pump pulley. So I need a water pump to spin the opposite way. I am going to stick with a mechanical pump too. Does anyone have any recomendations?

Thanks,
Dave

any non h.o. 302 will be a standard rotation water pump. A water pump from a 85-90 crown vic fits, the problems is with any of these pump iirc is you will have to modify the bolt pattern to get it to fit, basically it's how they idiot proofed it so you wouldn't put a reverse pump into a standard pump car. I'm sure someone who has done a swap will chime in.

So which way is "reverse rotation" clockwise when your looking at the pulley? Is there any aftermarket pump that they make to solve this problem?

reverse rotation water pumps run counter clockwise, if you change belt routing and get this type of pump running clockwise it will not cool for obvious reasons, the non h.o. 302's run a standard rotation water pump ( clockwise) like already stated. I don't know of an aftermarket pump, I'm thinking they don't do it for the reasons of ordering the wrong part# for a h.o. motor and getting a standard pump when they wanted a reverse pump and over heating he car , that's the reason for the different bolt patterns. you can search this though, plenty of people have switched pumps.
