Well, it looks like it might be time to replace the water pump. The pullies had been squealing, but then it stopped. Should have guessed it was just a matter of time, so now it is leaking at the bearing.

I'm thinking that "while i am at it" I should replace the hoses and maybe the radiator. Any suggestions for other things that should be done at the same time as the pump? How about better than stock water pumps?

Thanks for any thoughts,
Jax

A little known fact about stock water pumps----- most applications had a high volume pump as an option. Check it out at you local parts house before buying a high dollar aftermarket pump that flows no more than the factory HV pumps did.

I use a stock water pump on a warmed over 302, 160 degree themostat, flex fan, NO fan shroud and a 4 row radiator. It never gets over 190 degrees even on a hot summer day.
