Well... this isnt about a mustang... its about my f150. I was driving down the road one day and my fan twisted off my pump shaft and butchered my radiator. Well... I got all the stuff to fix it and started going to work on it with some borrowed tools. Everything was going great, until 1 water pump bolt and 1 water pump stud broke off where the the thread started on the bolts. Im a pretty good mechanic... but thats pushing it. Most all the shops around pretty much want at least 400 to do it since you gotta pull the cover. Those are the ones that didnt tell me no outright though. I got a 351w though. Just the block with 10k miles on it. The 302 has... I think around 150k? Well anyway I was entertaining the idea of switching the efi 302 to a efi 351w. Now of all the things ive read im going to need... 1)Distributor 2)lower intake manifold 3)eec. Everything else ive read says that everything else should switch over to the 351w. I had a set of headers laying around too which I was prolly going to replace the manifolds on the 302 with. Soo... if entertaining this idea was possible... what would be a good donor car? Oh, 4 speed tranny, and its 4x4. Its a busted old truck but a lot of fun... thats how I broke the shaft off.
