Waterpump bypass hose

This weekend, I was trying to remove my waterpump, as it appears to be bad, possibly. Anyways, trying to remove the bypass hose from the water pump was any impossible process. I have heated it right up and tried wiggling it around, and it does not budge, I tried taping it back and forth and cant seem to move it I also soaked it in WD-40 and that did nothing.

I still need to get this off, does anyone have any ideas? I have included a picture as they are like a 1000 words.

What year is your Mustang ? I was also wondering if you have a quality Chiltons manual for your year of Mustang as well. If you don't, I highly recommend picking one up. I wouldn't waste money on a cheap one like haynes, because the detail is not there.
Also, Water pumps have an indicator that tells you when they are going bad. There is a small hole in the water pump right under the shaft in the middle that the pulley bolts to. As the water pump's bearings wear out coolant seeps by them and leaks through this hole. If you notice a few drops of coolant under the front of your engine this is an indicator your pump is failing.
Also, another test is to see if the water is circulating by starting the car up when it's COLD, open up the radiator cap and wait to see if the water starts circulating which should happen if the thermostat is opening properly. If it doesn't tap lightly on the thermostat housing, to check and see if your thermostat is stuck. If it starts flowing circulating after you've tapped on the tstat housing, that's the problem. Not sure if you did any of these tests or not to help identify the real problem.

If you are still trying to get that off, heres a couple of things that may or may not be of importance. First, follow 03stangr's tips and make sure the pump is bad before you go tearing it off. What seems to be the problem that makes you suspect the water pump is at fault? Overheating? Coolant leakage?

As for that pipe, I know that thing is a royal pain to get off, especially if it has been on there for 70k+ miles. The best way to get it off is to first remove the nut that secures the pipe down. If I remember correctly, this is the same pipe that runs along top of the lower intake manifld near the passenger side cylinder head. Get some PB Blaster and soak the area around where the pipe goes into the pump. Forget WD40, that wont cut it. Let the PB sit for at least 10 minutes then try wiggling the pipe loose. How I got mine off? I used a pair of vice grips and clamped juzt below that notch in the pipe. I ended up leaving a crimp dent in it tho. .. even having padded the end with a rag.
