I recently replaced my waterpump with one from autozone also the thermostat, during this I removed the smog pump, and am not sure that I am turning the waterpump the right way. Anyone got any good diagrams. Because now the temp gradually creeps up. I have Autometer mechanical gauges, so it's not the gauge. Any hepl is appreciated.

Also just for @$#! The correct way for the thermostat to be installed is fat end towards the rear of the car, basicly pointed forward.

Does anyone have a good diagram or something to ensure that I am running the belt the right way?

look at the fins on the altornator and just picture what the rest of the pullies would do. If My cay was at home I would go check it out for you.

The water pump should be turning counter clockwise. The smooth side of the belt should be running off the right side of the pullie going towards the alt. Sorry dont have a pic best i can explain it.
