Waterpump

my car has had a constant wet spot underneath it for a few days now so i checked the anitfreeze and sure enough, the overflow is empty. The car was hot so at the time i did not check the rad. Well after a trip to the parts store to get antifreeze i opened the radiator and was not at all happy with what i found. It looks like there is Mud, and lots of it in my cooling system. So assuming noone put actual Mud in my radiator i am guessing that oil is getting into the cooling system some how. So i added some coolant and figured Oh well. But i noticed antifreeze dripping off of my sway bar and traced the wet spot back the the vicinity of the water pump. SO... my question is.. How hard are water pumps to change? It seems i may have a bad head gasket (or cracked head) anyway so i am not too eager to do much work to the N/A motor but i DO need something to drive and the turbo is not ready. Is the water pump easy and worth changing in this case? The water is NOT getting into the oil yet, and i have no idea how long its been like that but it may have been mixing for a long time for all i know. DO i have to remove the timing belt to change the pump? Lets hear your opinions..

Well so the water pump doesnt sound like that big of a deal thats good. Im sure i break off a bolt and it will take me 3 hours but seems like something i could do in a weekend. Sounds eaiser to change than the MG one and the MG water pump is really easy! What is your take on the oily mud in my radiator though? Should i baby this thing now? there is no water in the oil, but the water in the radiator even smells like oil so i am a little concerned about that. not sure how much longer the N/A is gonna last.. (Secretly grins hoping turbo swap comes soon )
