Last Spring I posted for advice on the disassembly of my "new" front disc brake calipers for rebuilding. Everyone who posted was very helpful, after much effort and patience I managed to get the pistons out (as it turned out, this was the hardest part of the ENTIRE project). I thoroughly cleaned the casting halves and POR-15'd the outside of them.
A couple of weeks ago I started acquiring the parts I needed for the rebuild....new seals and dust boots, new stainless pistons, new hardware, new bleed screws, new cross over lines and new flex hoses.
Today was the day..........I cleaned and polished the bores, ports etc., etc. then I inserted the new seals, dustboots and pistons.........I thought I remembered someone saying what a PITA it was to get the pistons/dust boots installed, but I didn't have any problems at all!
After each half was reassembled, I finished the reassembly of the calipers and now they're ready to go on the car!
I did take pictures, I'll try to post some later. Meantime I wanted to thank everyone again for their helpful advice, and special thanks to WORTH who set me up with me new, complete front disc brakes!
