Kind of an odd question, but does anyone have an idea of what a '69 fastback weighs fully stripped down? And by stripped I mean no suspension, windows, complete teardown restoration. I'm trying to decide if I should pull the suspension before I have the car media blasted, but I wasnt sure if we'd be able to manage the weight of the body with just a few people lifting it.

At least 500-600 pounds would be my guess--probably somewhat more. Look at my avatar. I can pick it up on one end (barely) by myself to scoot it sideways. I can move it by myself up the driveway into the garage, but not easily especially over the transition from driveway to garage. The problem is the are really awkward and hard to hold onto when trying to lift. The cart my car is on was made out of 2x2" steel tubing, the mounting points are the lower control arm bolts in front and the rear leaf spring front eye mount.

If I had to do over again, I would definitely take it all the way down as I did. That makes it easy to get ALL of it clean the first time.
