weight of stock flywheel ?

anybody know how much it weighs , im thinking about putting in an aluminum one to get a little extra out of the car .......hays aluminum is 15 lbs vs their steel one is 28 lbs , how much does the OE one weigh ???

for what I know, it weighs about 21 lbs...CAST IRON!!!

Aluminums have better wind up but they suffer on the launch so keep that in mind. Aluminum = good past 100ft. Iron = good up to 100ft.

Also the increased inertial mass of a stock flywheel helps enjoyability of a daily driver IMHO (I will get flamed for saying this). Think of it as something of a shock absorber or damper.
