weight of stock front suspension?

Anyone know what a stock k-member, a arms weigh out of a 91 fox? This way I can call and ask what companys k-members weigh, then get a guess on how much weight I will be dropping off the front end. Pa racing and UPR states a loss of 75lbs.

Really curious to which k-member to get, looking at the upr, team z, pa, etc.

So far I like the team z, the new tie down tabs seem nice.

UPR informed me the stock kmember weighs in at 55lbs, the a arm at 15lbs.

I just weighted my stock k member from my 93lx. It weighted 45 lbs. even, This is without the motor mounts and the bolts for the rack.

Doesn't make sense to me that the stock stuff weighs 85lbs in total and they claim you will lose 75lbs swapping the k-member and a-arms. There is no way that stuff weighs only 10lbs.

Maybe their 75lbs claim includes coil overs?

It does include coil overs, you also have to use cc plates, maybe theirs are light too. They also recommend their bump steer kit as well for helping adjust alignment.

Probably looking at 50lbs in the least in a front end kit.
So, its either the upr kit, or, the team z kit. I like how the team z kit has tie down hooks and a winch hook for trailer ease. Think pa has this as an option too.

Maybe they take in every detail. Old front end stuff has alot of dirt and grime on it, if you dont re-use all your stock bolts etc, and buy some titanium bolts and nuts etc, you will loose some more weight.

I was just hoping someone out there before putting the kit on did some weighing of the parts, or at least did a before and after on a car. But havnt seen any examples yet.

I just like the light weight options, more weight you take off, the less gas you have to burn for regular driving, so better fuel mileage. Less weight should be less of a strain on the drivetrain as well. Also, the car goes faster!

You guys need to add those to the kit as standard issue..........otherwise i'm pleased with mine.

stock k= 48lbs.
a arms= 26lbs.
springs= 26lbs.

upr k= 18lbs.
a arms= 11lbs.
springs/CO= 6lbs.

All weighed on the same scale................

My stock K member isnt heavy at all. I highly doubt it is 100 pounds with the a arms. And since does a front spring weigh 13 pounds lmao

I just read in a mustang magazine that there is a company out there that makes a k member. and it said stock one was 102lbs and theres was 32lbs
