When i take off hard like 75% or more throttle it kinda feels like something slips for a 1/4 second then goes, is that just the torque converter locking up it almost feels like my tire is spinning a 1/2 rotation and the posi kicks in... but its not, within the last 3000 miles i have flushed the tranny and then i removed the pan and put a new filter in it along with new fluid again and it still does the same thing. What does everyone think.

Well its certainly not a clutch problem. He asked about his torque conveter locking up. And yes that is a possibility, your torque converter could be delaying a bit. Also could be worn bands in the transmission. 97?? You have somewhere between 80,000 and 100,000 miles or more. So things like that will start to go out on a Mustang I would think.
