I have a 92 GT Convertible and when i started it up this morning to go to work, it started making a random beeping sound that sounds like it's coming from under the dash. I already know that it is not the door buzzer, but it is very similar with a higher pitch and is a lot louder. Everything in the car works and it runs fine. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

It's coming from the air bag module. It does this when the air bag light burns out. Listen to the beeps as it's trying to "flash" to code to you. Either replace the bulb or fix the problem. Mine is doing the same thing right now. But it's not my DD so I just deal with it.

My air bag light had come on for about a month, went off, then recently came back on about a week ago. I didn't check to see if it was off again. Thanks for the tip.

Pull that sucker out. It's above the radio in the center of the dash. Make sure u unplug the battery first. I removed the module and all the sensors on my coupe.

what battery? the main battery..or does the module have it's own battery?
just pull the module out...that's all there is to it?

It's just a procedure I do when messing with anything related to air bags. Pull the mAin battery. Better safe than sorry. Who wants a smack to the face when the air bag accidently deploys?

I believe the airbag module has a capacitor rather than a battery. After you disconnect the battery, you should wait at least 20 minutes for the capacitor to discharge before you can consider it safe to work on.

It's a blue box and It's held on by two screws. I thinks it's above the ac controls, but it could be below it.

No. Pop the ac switch bezel off and unscrew the four screws. Unplug switches and 2/3 screws holding the switches on and move to the side. You might get away with just pulling the radio out. I took mine out when I had the dash out so Im not certain on this though.

I pulled the A/C controls to get to mine. I was a real pain to get out (I have average size hands), so be prepared to get beat up a little, but it can be done.
