Well, My engine finally overheated unfortunately. It was a bad mishap right after my h/c/i install. The lower radiator hose was not secured tightly enough so it fell off and I did not know until it was too late. After about a minute of driving a started hearing a funny tapping noise when I stepped on the gas and I was like what the hell? So i pulled over and looked at my temp guage and there it was at 250+. Well the car turned over and started back up after sitting for about a half an hour. Yes I filled the car before I did restart it and I got water flowing through the system.
Now the Current problem. Now the tapping that I have heard when the engine was overheating is back and it sounds like it is coming from the block somewhere. I have no idea where it is coming from but it starts only when I really get on the engine. It starts around 2k and moves up slowly with rpm. What could it possibly be? Keep in mind when the Radiator hose went, antifreeze and water went everywhere.
