Did you tune the car after the upgraded pulley?

If you truly did hit 18 lbs of boost (assuming you did not) without a good tune; that would be your motor noise and exhaust backfire. Something is destroyed in your motor.

Bolt-on pulley + no tune + no intercooler == internal obliteration...

How many miles have you put on the motor since the tune?

What type of supporting mods did you have done to the motor?

If you really did push that much boost on a stock motor, I would start looking for another motor.

What size is your pulley that you bought? Stock is 3.60" which is between 8 to 10psi. Are you 6 rib belt?

Why are you running an 8 rib pulley when the rest is 6 rib? You know that the belt is still slipping a ton right? To get the advantage of an 8 rib traction you must run all 8 rib pulleys.

Belt looks a little worn too, probably from slipping. If I were you, I would sell the 8 rib pulley and get a 3.33" or even bigger 6 rib pulley and a GOOD tune. I would shoot for 10 to 12 psi max. Having non-intercooled is causing your computer to pull a lot of time, the more boost you have, due to the IAT sensor reading hot air temps, hopefully located in the charger pipe. You will make about the same amount of power, with less worry.

When I went to to get the pulley it took one month for Murray to get it they gave me the run around so I just kept it and actually the belt is new I just put with the tensioner
