A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that me car started making a weird noise. It seems to only happen when I'm making right hand turns at low speed. It's sorta like a scraping noise or scratching noise...sorta like when you brake pads are gone. I've also noticed it sometimes when I'm backing out of a parking spot and the wheel is cut to the left.

I know it's not the brakes pads b/c I just had new pads put on the front a few months ago (rotors turned also) and the back ones were just checked.

Next week, I'm taking it to the shop to have it checked out but I thought I'd post something too.

Somebody suggested it might be a dust cover rubbing up against a brake caliper.

It's a Ford TSB, common problem, if you have warrenty it's a fast free fix.

FYI - I googled the TSB's. I saw one about control arm bushings and on about steering rack bracket and/or bushing. My problem is definitely more of a crunching sound than a squeal.

Crap, I wonder how much this is gonna cost.

Could be a seized tie rod end.

Take a look at your catback around the driveshaft. It could be scraping.
