Weird Oil Dipstick

Is everyones elses dipstick all twisted and crooked and hard to put back in. Its hard for me to get a good reading with this thing all bent up and crap.

mine is a cable type.... never had a problem with it..

Yeah, mine's all screwy, too. Always has been. When reading it, try to see where the lowest place is where there isn't oil on the dipstick, and always check it more than once to try and get a consistent reading. My car takes 6 1/2 quarts of oil.

I thought only mine takes a lot of oil. Take about 6.5-6.75

I thought the same thing when I got my 99 5th anniv GT. I have an after maket oil pan and thought "WOW someone really screwed this dipstick up" But as it turns out it's correct.

6 quarts reads full for me. I would'nt add extra even if it did'nt read full. 16-24 ounces seems like alot of extra oil to me.

My GT had a sorry looking twisty dipstick that worked fine. The Cobra has a cable style one that also works fine.

The twisty dipstick works well for me.

no probs with my twisty dip stick either...
