I was just wondering, how would you guys feel if you saw a 96-98 Mustang with the horizontal tail lights that our cars have? I dislike 94-95 cars with verticals as much as the next person, but how would it feel if they converted to our lights?
Anyways, that just popped into my head and thought I'd ask what you thought.

Another 5.0 wanna-be.
But unless someone just bought a car w/o tails ... and didn't know what to replace them with ... I find it hard to imagine someone using HoZo's on a '96-'98.

personally I wouldn't mind it too much. No worse than me running their vertical lights.
Actually, I think the horizontals look better on the sn-95. The only verticals that looked good (IMO) were the black ones...the other ones kinda looked goofy to me....I just wish I would have found some cheap horizontals before I found cheap verticals.
To tell the truth, I'm more offended by the altezzas. But, it's their money...let 'em spend it.

I love the 94-95 tail lights. I like them by far and away better then the 96+

I'm starting to warm up to the horzontal tails, but I hated them when they came out. The only reason I'm starting to like them is because they say, "5.0". That's kinda why I can't understand how most of youlike the horizontals, but hate tri-bar wheels.
Last time I checked though, Mustangs had verticals lights:

Mustangs also didnt have DOHC motors when they first came out.

I like our lights better anyway...whenever I see a car on the road with our lights im like there is a 94-95 and then I pull up closer and it is a 6 cyl...Booooo for 6s

Its even worse when they have dual exhaust and you get on the side of them and see the V6 emblems and they rev at you and it sounds like a V6. lol

Didn't have DOHC's in '94/'95 either.

Case in point.
Wait...what?
Are you saying that non-traditional OHC Mustangs are more traditional than '94/'95's because they still have the original styling on the outside?
Seriously, though. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But a '94/'95 owner saying their stock tails are better than '96-'98 tails is like Foxbody owners saying their cars are the best looking Mustangs ever made. Everyone else with the same car as you may agree, but the rest of the world thinks otherwise.

Wait, I thought thats what you were saying. lol
But yea, everyone will have their own opinion. Mine happens to be towards the horizontals.

I wouldn't. These tails make your tail end look WIDE. If I had a '96-'98 GT I would swap to HoZo's.
Because it would also have a Windsor.

Yea. Like I said, I like the horizontals because they indicate a pushrod engine. But my car came with '96 tails, and I'm keeping them because they're more traditional, and I don't feel like spending the money to change them back.
I just don't like it when people say the '96-'98 tails are ugly, because most people like them better. It's like they've forgetten that Ford received a lot of flack from the American public in '94 for not putting the 'right' taillights on the new Mustang.
