An exhaust leak is my guess.

were you moving while it clicked? if so, does it do it while stationary?

any idea where on the car it was coming from? otherwise, it could be hard for anyone a keyboard away to help.

good luck.

if it happens while moving, i would guess undercarraige. things like brakes come to mind.

you will really have to get under there and take a look.

good luck.

if it is only happening while moving it is probably a u joint on the driveshaft going bad...they usually make a ticking noise when they are bad...check that

Exhaust leak or possibly a lifter (which would usually be alot louder) probably just a leak.

I had that same thing when I had a nail in my tire. Every time the head of the nail hit the road it made the noise. I soon found the nail once it started leaking.

You hear the noise when you are near the curb/wall because the noise bounces off the wall and into the car.

Start with tires, moving onto brakes, steering linkage, drivetrain, etc....

Out of curiousity, why would an exhaust leak sound like a click?
