OK here's the deal...

I'm getting HORRIBLE wheel hop but only on slow starts and low speed stop and go driving...it feels like wheel hop anyway, the rear of the car shakes a TON...
If I launch hard I get nice predictable wheel spin (no traction, Kumho tires ) and on the odd occasions it does get traction, like from a low speed roll, it launches pretty hard for a 'vert with stock SFCs with no hint of hop... ...oh and it doesn't happen much when the car is cold but gets worse after driving over an hour or so (ah the joys of soCal commuting )

I just installed Pro3i LCA and while they helped a lot of things they didn't seem to make much difference with the slow speed wheel hop...it's driving me nuts

so any ideas guys? maybe worn out gears/diff?, crappy shocks?, ???

first thing that comes to mind is diff rebuild, hd uca's, get fresh quadshocks(bilstein) or ditch them. how many miles does the car have on it?

is this car a manual or a auto..

If it's a auto you could have a tourqe converter issue. this would be a nice time to get a real converter. Like a PI 3600

If it's a 5 speed you could have a clutch issue

it's a 5-speed...the clutch has about 20k on it...

it doesn't "feel" like a clutch, sometimes it continues to shake after the clutch fully disengaged...

When you replaced the clutch did you machine the flywheel also or get a new one? It may be imperfections in the flywheel kinda like having a warped rotor.

maybe I should re-phrase the question

could a worn out rear end (gears and/or bearnings) cause wheel hop?

(BTW the flywheel was machined when the clutch was replaced)
