Weld Draglites on the street?

I have the prostars. Not sure if they fall under the "draglites" or not. But the rears, 15x8 weight about 10 or 11 pounds each, so they are pretty light. Ive used the skinnies on the street alot without problems. Just avoid potholes for sure!

Okay, on Summit it says they can hold up for street duty. And so I went on a mini shopping spree just now:

(2) BFG 275/50/15 Drag Radials
(2) Weld Draglite 15x8 wheels

Dave, did you consider the new et street drag radials?? According to the latest issue of hotrod, they hooked better then the Et slicks. Odd i know, they are one sticky tire!

Wheels will hold up fine. I ran Drag lights for years as my daily wheels on my fox. Make sure you use a lot of anti seeze on the threads of the studs and also use it on the outside of the lugs wall that meets with the wheel. If you have skinnies up front you will need to do some grinding on the brake caliper and then get some spacers. Make sure you do not use an impact on these wheels and you will probably run into a few broken studs after installing and removing the fronts with spacers.. Thats why you use the antiseeze.. I have pro stars for sn95 and I ran into all these problems. I finally ran into some guys who all had the same problem and shared with me thier solutions. Good luck!

I plan on running my bogart skinnies to and from the track, even though its not recommended. I agree with Jesse, if you didn't already buy the drag radials, I'd have opted for the MT DR's... you will be waiting a little while for them though.
