Welding on a Modern Car (like a 2005 GT)
Other then removing the battery leads prior to striking an arc,, are there any other have to's on a modern mustang before welding? Hate to get done, only to find I’ve electronically murdered some ECM someplace on the car?
Never had an issue with any other vehicle, but wanted to ask specially about the Mustang.

Thanks.

we had a battery saver in the body shop. you connected it to the battery, and didnt have to worry about anything. you probably dont have access to one as they are not that common, so removing the cables is ok. the only other thing we do is remove any computers that are close to the welding area. be sure to use welding blankets to cover up anything you dont want to get spatter or sparks on.
