So it's near 2am and I'm out spending time with my foxbody. So I have the rear sway bar, springs, quads, shocks, and lower controll arms out and I am about to install the HPM's but I am going to wait until tomorrow morning to run to home depot and get some washers for around the bolt holes and a wire wheel so I can get the boxes welded. Anyone else reinforced thier boxes like this???

The seams of my torque boxes are all welded up and I have reinforcements bolted and welded in as well. Also other seams on the rest of the back of the car welded up as well.

Is that what you were asking?

Sort of. This was the suggestion from the guy at Motorsport-depot told me works well from experience. I just thought, since I was in there and all, why not? Torn out TQ boxes suck.

I'm going to wait on my uppers to get here before I put it togeather. With everything out and the rear end houshing supported by a jack and the upper controll arms it is amazing that you can pry on one end of the axel houshing and bend the uppers by hand. I couldn't imagine what a launch at the track does. The controll arm bushings on the lower were cracking but in overall good shape. The rear sway bar is too dinky, I might get a thicker replacment. I plan on some Lakewood 50/50's in the back but the KYB Gas-adjusters are good for now.
