Just wanted to pass on my story to anyone who might be sitting waiting for the 05 GT.
Ordered redfire gt on April 16th.
Was told should be able to get one Mid July.
Got call yesterday that although he did have the allotments FORD has told him that of his remaining 25 cars half of them have to be automatics. The first batch of Manual tranny's made it in and will be built soon... mine of course is in line for the next batch. If I wanted a Automatic he could change it and get me a car.
Now I don't know whether this is bull???? Although I can see how a company could be stuck with a wack of automatic tranny's and trying anything to get rid of them.
To make a long story short I told him to switch to the 06 tungsten with the 18" wheels... the only extra cost will be the wheel upcharge.
Not really interested in an automatic.

My feeling is if somehow I got an 05 it would be Mid August before delivery, no use taking delivery of a 1 yr old car when the newest model is probably a month away.

Oh well the wait continues... summer usually fly's by anyways.

One upside to getting a car at the end of the model year is that it will have lower miles. I bought a 99 tahoe in may of 98 and by the time it was officially born it had over 20000 miles on it.

That's what I ordered exactly. Have you gotten a price yet, I'm curious about the cost of the wheels and any market adjustment price.

No prices for the wheels yet, although he assured me they would be less then a grand Canadian.... He figured they would actually be lower then that.

He told me his order guide just came in, pricing guide should come next week.

I told him to fax me the dora when he orders it.
