after doing all the mods in my Sig Below i started it up for the first time, and just wondering with my B cam how do u Break it in?? Any special Ways?? i heard u keep it at like 2000RPM's or something not sure thats why i am asking.

i know it needs tuning and all, But just wondering what i should check because it keeps going from 950ish RPM's to about 1500 RPM's. Any help would be appreicated.

Atleast it Started though and nothings leaking

Far as I know, roller cams don't need to be broke in...there not like the solid lifters cams...they do require what you mentioned, RPM wise....

You are completely right rio. Roller cams just require a good coat of cam lube and stick it in and go. They do not require the breaking in that a flat tappet cam does since we have the rollers on the lifters.

You're probably going to get a s***ty idle, especially with a letter cam. I am dealing with this right now. Have you driven the car at all yet? BTW - Whats the LSA on that cam, if its under 114, I doubt your car will idle very well.

The B cam has a 112* LSA, which is where your surging idle is probably coming from. You'll probably need a chip or tuner to solve it.

When I did my swap, I changed the oil immediately after putting it all back together before firing it up the first time. Then I fired it up and ran it for about 45 minutes, varying the idle speed from 1000 to 3000 RPM. Then I changed the oil again, retorqued the heads (the next day) and called it good.

I got the E-cam and mine idles perfect at 800rpms... no surging or dying at stop lights either... I wouldn't think the Bcam would be a problem either....

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones... 99% of this people that I know with letter cams, especially the e-cam, have all kinds of idle problems. That awesome that yours idles no problem. I wish I could only be so lucky.

My headers stunk when I first installed them. That's normal when you install brand new parts.

Tf the headers are chrome plated, it is the chrome burning. They are also burning all the grease off from being handled and whatnot. It's normal.
