the crank is screwed up. luckily matt gave me one that just needs polished. before i forget, is the stock crank in a 2.3 turbo forged? ive heard that it is, and ive heard that it isnt. i looked at a cast one, and it looked the same as my crank. i tapped it with a wrench and they both sound the same. i honestly think its cast, but ive heard theyre forged. so the new bearings went poof, the #1 piston is a cast N/A pile, that is now busted. cylinders need to be bored (theyre standard right now) and i need new gaskets ect. does anyone know of a good rebuild kit (affordable) with forged pistons (dished too) i REALLY need to get this thing going. would getting a crate engine be a good option? if so, wheres a good place. i looked on northernautoparts.com but they dont list a crate engine. they list a rebuild kit, but i dont know if the quality is what i want. i would really appreciate some input. thanks a lot guys
