Well, i think i brew my transmission....(with my stupidity video uploaded)

Yep......
since i installed header, I haven't heard what my car sound like from outsdie. So dumbass that I am, dicided to take my GF to deserted road with video camera, and tape my car flyin by. U know, many people does it.

So i kick my GF out of car, and i drove up about 1/8 mile, turned around, made sure nothing is coming, and off i went.
smoked 1st gear, shifted second gear, then i try to shift in to 3rd, and it wont go. I tryed to shift few times, and didn't go in. So i coasted down to stop. i shut the car off.
So here is whats it doing. It run fine. so engine is okay. clutch [edal feel about right. But with car running, it will not shift at all. But if engine stop, then it'll shift(hard, but it'll go), with clutch in or out. once its in gear, i can still start the car with clutch pushed in, but as soon as you start to let go the clutch, it starts to make funny noise. not grindin g noiuse or anything, but more like i'm trying to move the car with E-brake on...
So i'm thinking may be clutch fork, shift fork, or Shifter itself. possibly TOB.

what ever it might be, not having good night...

worst part of it is, my entire stupidity was captured in Video!!!! right down to getting on the tow truck!!!!! and 75bucks to tow 1.26miles!

sorry, about that, I have been there before. I've seen a couple do this and it was bent cluch fork if it is exactly as you described. there are other things as well but that is probably it. The trans has to come out first.
Can you shift through the gears with the car off?I just read that you can but it is hard to.
It is something you probably don't want to try to fix yourself. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are or the tools you have.

that really depend on what went. if clutch fork or TOB, something outside of transmission, i prolly can. But if i bent shiftfork, then not really. Lucly there is tranny shop about 1.3miles down the raod from me. so worst case senario, i can take tranny off, and take it downthere to fix it.

what I really like to do is to get TKO500 put in, but i don't now if i can squeeze money for that, i think they are like $1500+belhousinf and i'm sure there are more crop i need to install it...

So if internal brake, i think i'll just look for used tranny....anyone knw where can i get one?

i think first is worst. there is definately sort of mid stop there that i have to force it bit to go in to first. Second is about same. but not bad. 3rd is about same as 2nd. 4th and 5th is pretty much fine. And reverse is hard..

i vote do the tko500/600 i love mine and never had a prob with it yet. all you need is the tranny and a bellhousing for the 500. the 600 uses a 26spline in put so your going to have to change the clutch if so. youll never have to worry about the tranny again. installing mine took about 7 hours from jacking it up to removing and putting the new one in and getting it back on the road. hardest part about it i think was figurrin gout how to get the starter out.

In my area, I have a friend that rebuilds them. I haven't done it , only another pair of hands. I will bet that at least one fork is bent. If you take it out , it shouldn't cost more than $ 400 to fix if that is all. Sometimes I've seen other stuff broken once a case is opened. some run $ 800.00. If it looks like that much, I would replace.

Unless it's minor, don't bother rebuilding the T-45, unless you aren't planning on going with more HP/Torque in the future.

Well, here is the video. right befor - end of second gear - where you hear my GF loughin is when i was struggling to put it in 3rd. she is crackin up, cause she thought i missed the gear like newb....
