Well, just bought a new project!!!

Finally I found a good project,I found a 1967 fastback with what the guy says is a 289 but it's not it's a 302 but this guy is a moron. This thing has all kinds of work done on it in the engine so the guy I'm buying it from says but I don't think I'm going to trust his word really I didn't buy the car for the engine I bought it for the looks. The body is really really nice. Little to no rust on a PA car is a good sign so I all it needs is a good paint job and some minor work and it will be a great car. I'll post some pics as thinks get moving over the winter when I get back from school. Not much can be done to the car while I'm at college but I'll let you guys know. Also I don't wanna be a poser or any of that but does anyone have a good site where I can buy like a Shelby style body kit (Not Elenor) Just the original Shelby GT 350 style. I won't be slapping a bunch of SHELBY or COBRA names all over it so I wouldn't call it a clone but I just like the look so if anyone has any recomendations that would rock! Thanks guys.

Yeah, I know they didn't come out till 68'. It's not the original engine which sucks but I'll live with it. Also I payed $9000 for it does that sound like a good deal? It was a 289 2-barrel, 4-speed, nice body (minus paint) Yeah it was a C-code but now its got this other engine...What I'd like to do is swap it for a 347 stroker 12sec67 if you don't mind what kind of cost was your setup? I really like the setup you've got with out the automatic stuff cause it's a 4-speed. Thanks.

i got lucky and bought my 347 CHP bottom end, box stock RPM's, an X-cam, old style RPM intake, windage tray, ARP bolts, and 650DP which will soon be a proform main body...(engine + acces = $3000-3500) summit headers, summit x-pipe, mac exhaust 2.5"($400) , 2500 art carr stall, AOD with shif kit and high pressure valve body(trans + parts= $3000) 9", gears, trac loc- (rear end and parts $2500)

thats it for drivetrain... i never really added it up before, man that sucks cause that doesn't include the engine, trans and 3 8" rears before that that i had.

The hood you want is sold by many vendors. Fiberglass with the 1967 Shelby scoop, like this...

Yeah, I just ran home today to check the car out...OMG I'm going to have no life now. My girl friend is screwed...I love this car I'm going to put every spare second into it. I can't wait till fall Carlisle I'll probably buy most of the stuff I'm looking for there sometimes you can find good prices so I'll be looking. I'll keep you guys posted with some pix soon. Thanks.

Yeah, I live in Carlisle but right now I'm at school. I go to Millersville University which is in Lancaster. I don't know what day/days I'll be going I'm hoping for Sat. and Sun., Sat. is usually the biggest day and Sun. everyone is packing up their stuff and will sell a lot cheaper in some cases to move it. See yas there.

Hey Pirate,
I went to Penn Manor High School, we shared the football Field with Millersville U.
IS the House of Pizza still there? I spent a few friday and saturday evenings there after football or track or movies at the point of view theater (I think that's gone now).

Dude, the house of pizza will never die! It's still up and running. I live at Mill Creek Mannor which is a new housing development on 741. It's a really nice place, the best part is the garage that I can put my stang in if I get this new project up and running I'll bring it down but for now I just keep my 2000 GT in there. hehe.
