Road & Track did a Mustang feature about a year ago. They tested the 2010s, including a specially modded 2010 with 400 HP. The 'quickness' benefit of the extra 85HP, at least 0-60, was quite minimal, a few tenths of a second. I could be wrong but although it's great to know you have 412 HP I don't think it's going to make a dramatic seat-of-the pants difference.

True...but I don't buy my Mustangs to drag race so that second difference is negligible. I think the Mustang is more limited by wheel hop and traction issues than a need for more horsepower. ...Not saying 100HP more wouldn't be welcome though
living on the East Coast has nothing to do with it. The 2011s arent out yet. I work for Ford and that is a 2011 pilot car. If you look close you'll notice the GT side emblem and not 5.0. Thats because this is a 2010 w/2011 5.0 and 6spd manual
I guess it’s a good thing that they addressed both those issues with the 2011 model year then, right? Aside from the 100hp bump, the '11 GT's got a revised rear suspension with improved geometry, beefier-boxed control arms, thicker front and rear sway bars, harder durometer bushings and stiffer springs.
You forget the Mustang is getting a limited slip differential for 2011 for all models.
2.73 for the v6 (standard for manual and automatic transmissions)
3.31 for the v6 coupe (option for manual transmissions)
3.31 for the v8 (standard for manual and automatic transmission)
3.55 and 3.73 (option for the v8 manual transmission)
