Went test driving today, results inside...

Well i drove two of the three cars i'm considering buying. First thing i noticed is that you really have to get into these mod motors to get them moving, i was used to a 5.0 where the torque takes over from the start. That being said, here are my thoughts:

1. Silver 99 aniversary, 92k, gears/exhaust/HID's/shifter/control arms/subframes/cobraclutch/smoked lights/hoodscoop etc.

Overall, a really nice car. Needs to have the brakes bleed, clutch adjusted and tires within a couple 1k miles, but otherwise it's mint. Only thing that worries me are the miles, although it looks and drives like a car with 60 on it, interior was absolutely mint. I dont really care for the cobra clutch, kinda stiff but i can live with it.If he would take 9k, i'd be sold, but his 'bottom line' is 9800.

2. True blue 99.65k Full exhaust/gears/shifter/tint/mach1delete/diablotuner/tb/plenum/pullies.

Fairly nice car, tho it needs a few things. Steering was pulling to the right so something has to be addressed there. Getting the car to pass emissions will be a hassle with the current exhaust set up and the rear bump has some scuffs, prolly need to be replaced/re-painted. I dont really care for the stock GT rims and blue isn't my favorite color. He didn't know what kind of clutch was in it, but deffinetly aftermarket and really stiff. Best part of this car is that his selling price is better for the car, 9800 also, but obviously less miles.

I'm going to see another car this afternoon, and i just got a heads up on what looks like a cobra of some year that i'm gonna check out on the way. I'll keep you guys updated, should have a new car in a couple days :nice:
 
These mod motors will run forever..But 9800 is alot i think for a 99..There was a 01 here for sale with 85,000 miles for 8500..My car is a 99 with 112,000 on it i got it for 5700 it used to be my moms car..But keep on looking you'll find the right car..They all seem like nice cars just i dont like the price all that much..
 
I'd get the 35th anniversary if it was a TRUE 35th anniversary, not one of those retarded sellers that thinks their 99 is a 35th because "the emblem says so".

Price isn't bad, it's $800, just take it and run.
 
What makes its it 'true' anniversary? He said it has more options, only thing i noticed was the overlay on the gauges.

Edit: ran a quick search, car has some of the options, but not all of them. Has the gauge overlay, shift knob, emblems and hoodscoop. doesn't have the black by the taillights or floor mats. Seats aren't leather, but it has the same pattern that were on the leather seats. Looks like i can't run a VIN check to find out?
 
35th anniversary editions come with: Hood scoop, hood scoop stripe, Side scoops, 01-04 style spoiler, different side skirts, black/silver leather interior/dash/door panels, honeycomb insert between the taillights, gauge bezel, shiftknob, and a few other things
