that one stang has a strange paint job!!!!!! what is it??? is it green that fades to black?

Nah - it's just partially parked in the shade. It's a cool looking metallic green paint job. Really stands out. The pics don't do it justice!

There's a friggin' Pinto in there. Or is it a Maverick?

I remember when Pinto's were new and was pretty sure the mustard yellow car in the background of the one pic was a Pinto. Did some Google searches and that's gotta be a 71 or 72 Pinto. Maverick front ends were different.

fidstang, Pintos and Mavericks are both from way before Fox bodies. They were designed before Mustang II's, whatever they are considered. Although when I was in high school some folks in my area managed to stuff some seriously built 289's and 302's into Pinto's and Mavericks and they ran very well. Just not for very long :D

Ya know - I didn't even notice the Pinto while I was there

Leave it to Stangnet members to notice something that I didn't even see first hand

Overall it was a nice show - there were a couple hundred cars total - even a couple extra Fox bodies that I didn't photograph - mainly because they really didnt belong in a car show :nonono:

But other than the occasional POS, it was a nice turnout - Pinto's included :nice:

That black 87 GT is like a total dream car. Untouched and soooooo clean......

I want it!!

Yea - it was a VERY nice car - except the engine compartment could use a dusting - literally - it LOOKS like it sat for a while.
I talked to the owner for like 20 minutes. He's only had the car for a year - and I think he said he put half of that 16K on it last year :nono:
I don't think he totally understands what he has!
That car was kind of cool in it's own way. It has absolutely NO options on it (he has the original window sticker to prove it). Manual windows and locks, no AC, no tilt, etc, BONE STOCK and NO OPTIONS...

The more and more shows I go to, the more I want to enter my car into one.
My car is far from the most modded or the perfect trailor queen, but it's very clean, has excellent paint and interior, and turns some heads. One of these days I'll enter mine - I could see hanging around a nice car show for the day :nice:
