Well i finally got out to the track tonight. Only got in 2 runs So my first run was a 14.1@97 with a 2.01 60'. Only mods done are a fender mount cold air intake and bbk pullies, and 209,000 miles stock suspension. I have a pair of hoosier quiktime pros on the back but did not get a good 60'. First run i dumped it at 5k and spun. 2nd run i dumped it at 3k and it bogged down real bad. But then a lightning blew up on the track so i went home. I guess the time is not to bad for basically being stock. I have exhaust sitting in my basement i need to put on. But i need help on the damn 60'

Does the drive train have 209000 on it? I sold my 86 with 220K on the original drive train. Leaked like a mf but ran great. Got $3,000 for the car. Thats exactly what I asked for it. However it did have a complete new converted A/C system, and new cobra wheels and tires on it.

I was told the motor was rebuilt at 186k and tranny somewhere around 150k? No papers or anything though. All that is on the car right now is a fendermount cold air intake, bbk underdrive pullies, pro 5.0 shifter, and the hooser tires. Any advice on the 60'. I really didnt think my mustang would even be able to turn those tires over on the launch but it burned them off. So if i can get a good hook ill be in the 13s

Im about the same as you when it comes to mods. Just got UD pulleys and Flowmasters. The only difference is the low mileage mine has. Still runs real tight. Iv'e now got almost 28,000 on it. Is your an auto or 5spd. Mines a 5-spd. Im curious to see if we run about the same?

dayum.....thats pretty good for stock.

I have gears and full exhaust and can only get like 14.7's @ 97

But i spin horribly, my 60' is like 2.2....guess i need a set of drag radials?

Not to discourage you but wait till you put those MAC headers on......I have them and they are a real pain in the @$$....but they sound great with my H pipe and Flowmasters

14 psi in the tires, a good 5-10 second burnout. 5000 and dump the clutch. Should easily 60' in the 1.8s!

they are stock to my knowledge. Speedo seems right. I rode in a buddys car with 4.10s and it feels nothing like his. We run the same 1/4 times also. 14 psi, i will do that next time. I think i had 20. I wasent sure what to put it at.

They came with 4 gear ratios I believe, 2.73 in most 5 speeds, soem had a 3.08 option, most autos came with 3.27s and I believ the 4 cyl. autos came with 3.55s
