Went to the track Sunday; Good, Bad, then Good again.

I went to the track Sunday. Its a 1/8th mile track (its all we have around here) and ran my best time to date even with a not so good 60 ft time. I ran an 8.89 @ 80 mph with a 2.07 60ft time granny shifting. The next pass, I let it all hang out and power shifted with a rewarding 9.10 @ 79.8 mph with a 2.12 60ft time and then the hammering started at the end of the track . Sounded just like someone inside the intake with a ball peen hammer. I expected the worse and hoped for the best. I ended up having to call a friend to come pick me up with a trailer. I knew it was something in the topend and I have a set of AFR's ready to put on, so I wasn't crying just yet LOL. Well yesterday morning I pulled the valve covers to see the damage. I was so happy to see everything was still together and that a rocker arm had just came loose. I re-torqued all the rocker arm and fired it up and it purred like a kitten. So I still ran a pretty good time with the rocker arm coming off LOL. Sorry this is so long, I just had to get it off my chest .
