Were is a safe place to tow?

NOOOOOO dont tow it from the front. Tow it from the rear so that the front tires are the ones dragging. This way you'll have more clearance and you can get it from the axle if need be.

I dont think he is talking about an acutual tow truck. But, rather a friend with a truck.

I had the same problem a few years ago. My father and I (1990 LX. he has an Expidition) actually used the front sway bar of the stang to connect to.

Keep in mind, if you do this.. you will want to dig the car out as much as possible before doing so. And then, pull VERRY slowly.

You DONT want ANY sudden jerks on the front suspension. It Can be rather delicate.

If you have access to the rear of the car.. and can pull from the rear. Pull from the rear differential if possible. wrap straps around it.. chains.. whatever. but, again.. dont get too crazy with it.

Rear extration is optimal. Front extraction is optional. worse comes to worse, dig it out. or, call a tow truck.

You say the truck is lifted right? What if you were to attatch a tow rope to the frame itslef (is it strong enough at the front?), with the hood popped? Just something to look into..

Definitely try to tow your car by the rear axle. Use as long of a strap as possible so it will clear your bumper, and lastly just use common sense.........if the strap is going to rub your bumper, find another truck that ISN'T lifted to pull you out.

I got stuck and the only way of getting her out was by the front, I don't have a front sway bar anymore (which would have been my first choice) so I wrapped the chain around the control arm. I took it real easy and it came out fine. I would be cautious around the rear axle cause you could pinch the hard brake lines that run along the top of the axle. Good luck
