Just wondering if you guys knew of a good place to get personal protective equipment like pepper spray? Or a chain store? Thanks.

Depending what state you live in you may need an FID card to purchase some of that crap. I think you might find it hard to be able to order it to your door and may have to have it ordered through a firearms or other such qualified store.

Here in Mass, the state would rather have a woman be mugged then be able to defend herself from the poor victim of society who just wants to feed his children.

Get a concealed weapons permit and then get a nice .45 ACP that you are comfortable with.

Its not nearly as hard as you might think.

I plan on getting my CWP when I turn 21 in a few months.

Well unfortunately you live in Communistfornia, so it's a little harder for you.

in va its simple you just pay $50 and sit through a class and your done. you got your CWP. why do you feel you need something for personal protection? guns arent always the answer. neither is pepper spray.

Because when the sorry ass who refuses to work for a living feels he needs my stuff that I worked for, I feel the need to give him/her 10-15 reasons why I disagree View attachment 385106

In IL, we can't get a concealed weapons permit either. I feel for the family of whoever breaks into my house though. Funerals can be expensive, and I'm sure as hell not paying for it!

This is going to be for a friend of mine who is getting stalked by her ex and he tried to rape her a few weeks back. I'm trying to find a good product for her incase he tries it again.

for oc spray, fox is just plain nasty. made by fox laboratories. freeze +p aint bad either. but fox is wicked. but, i think for females a taser is a good option. there are civilian models available. they are pricey though.i cant remember all the states that prohibit them. the thing about spray u'll need to remember is it doesnt work on everyone, and you will more than likely get contaminated too. you should have your gf geta restraining order, if theres not already one inplace. depending on your stae law, it may be an automatic tripto jail for him if he violates it.

I'm not a fan of pepper spray or tasers. They are better than nothing but not by much and civilian versions are pretty weak.

You'd be better off getting a firearm. Glock is a good brand, and you can get a subcompact in several different calibers. I recommend carrying the biggest round that you feel you can control under stress.

Yeah...In California it is very hard to get CWP

And by the way. Did anyone else think we were talking about a different kind of protection before from the title?

well the civilian taser isnt bad, i forget the numbers but its almost as powerful as the le model. there are less sparks per second, and you cant get the 21 or 25ft cartridge. and i dont know how it is there, but here civilians can get the same stuff as le as far as oc goes. but, anything youre not properly trained in might not work no matter how good it is due to operator error. alot of females are scared to carry firearms making the less lethal weapons more appealing to them. i bought my gf a taser b/c she wont carry a gun. now she wont even carry that. ive been tased several times (no not the bad guy,in training) and that thing is just nasty. i've heard about guys it doesnt effect but never seen it in real life. but if at all possible avoid any confrontations , the objective is to keep her safe.
