What are some good rear control arms?

Bumping up an older thread....search button FTW. :D Good discussion so far, but I had a question:

Is anyone in here running the J&M (aka: Hotpart) LCAs or UCAs ?

I see they are featured on the Hotpart website (as well as on American Muscle's website). Was considering their entry level "street" LCAs and a set of their upper control arms for the '94 (street duty for my ride, limited track time, if any FWIW).

Would love to hear any feedback pros/cons reference the above. Thanks gang.

Where did you buy your hotchkis control arms?

Hotchkis Sport Suspension - 79-98 Mustang Rear Suspension Pckg., Red :: Trailing Arms :: Trailing Arm Package

Description:

Our upper and lower trailing arms work together to positively locate and control the rear axle. Launches are quicker, smoother and more consistent by reducing wheel hop. Cornering and overall stability are dramatically improved through increased roll stiffness and sway bar effectiveness. The fabricated trailing arms are constructed from high quality, TIG welded, .120" wall steel tubing. They feature our exclusive billet CNC machined spring perch and are fitted with special fluted polyurethane bushings. Grade 8 Hardware is included with suspension packages. Red Powder Coat.

It is great that there are so much aftermarket stuff available for mustangs, But also confusing when you have to choose.

Personally i do not have anything MM on my car even though they are local to me, i know many many people use them because they are good but almost all the company out there are good regardless of where they are made.

When buying a control arms buy a adjustable ones if you want the maximum potential out of your suspension, Install the arms and take it to a mechanic who knows how to set up the suspension, that's the best way.

But for the street there are no needs for adjustable suspension set up, I use HPM set up mixed with Kenny Brown set up. I had other control arms(Steeda, BBK) in the past but HPM stuff just works well for me all around and it freaking lasts forever, I don't know if they are still in the business or not but when i got them i stocked up on their bushings if they even go out, but it has only been in the car for 5 years only, lol:nice:

hollywoodstang - I agree, all the available aftermarket choices make this confusing. Learning about quite a few different control arm vendors in this thread from different posters.

Got another question for the gang:

Is it acceptable (or not really worthwhile) to only replace the factory lower control arms with aftermarket LCAs for street-duty ? I'm kicking around the idea of getting UCAs and LCAs, but not sure I really *need* the uppers for my driving purposes..

What do you guys say ?

BTW - Apologies to gnx547 for hijacking your thread... :D
