What are the LARGEST mufflers that fit a Fox coup?

I have a 1993 Mustang coupe with a dohc 5.0 out of a 2011 GT. It is loud and I want to make it very quiet. I've decided on 3" Magnaflow mufflers and I'm wondering what are the largest Magnaflows that will reasonably fit under the car with my non-cat 3" Bassani X pipe and stock location 3" tail pipes.

Here are the options:
3" inlet and outlet Mangaflow mufflers

MagnaFlow 14239 5"x8" - 14' long case - 20" long overall

MagnaFlow 14264 5"x8" - 18' long case - 24" long overall

MagnaFlow 14578 5"x11" - 22' long case - 28" long overall

MagnaFlow 14261 5"x11" - 24' long case - 30" long overall

Will all of these fit? If not which ones?

Thanks!

Why are you set on 3" mufflers? Going with mufflers that big are counter productive to you quest for a quieter exhaust note.

Good point, I could adapt to 2.5". I'm still curious about how large of a muffler case, 2.5" or 3", will fit under there.

So, will the 18' long case that's 24" long overall fit?

I don't think you've got the real estate under there for it?

Have you ever considered these? They're suposed to be pretty snazzy under cruise and WOT conditions?

Yes, I was considering the VTs. I discovered them yesterday. It sounds like they are pretty quiet and drone free at cruise.

I'm running the magnaflow 14239's on my 89, and am very pleased with them. I'm amazed how quiet they are, at least until you get on it.

So can you listen to the radio running down the highway at 70 mph?

Are you running cats?

Just cruising down the highway, you can listen to the radio. The tire noise, wind noise, and rear gear whine are louder than the exhaust note just cruising down the road at 1500-2000 rpm.

No cats. 1 7/8" into 3" collector Kooks headers, custom 3" H pipe, 3" flow pipes, 3" magnaflow 14239's, and 3" polished tail pipes (flowmaster) out the back, LX style. Used ball and flange connectors on both sides of the H pipe.

use the 14" case, and put a set of race bullets before them as a resonater if you are that worried about it. IMO, i dont think it will be too loud till you hammer it. The 5.0 motor is going to want the 3" also, 2.5" would be a step back in performance
