What axles for 5 lug conversion?

whats up fella's,

Its that time of year again, I am up to no good again. Doing a 5 lug conversion on the 88, time to catch up to the times. I actually am going to pick up everything for the front tommorow, I.E new lincoln mark XII rotors, bearings etc, I am going to order a decent set of 31 spline 5 lug axles, but i have no idea what type of car came with 5 lug drum rotors. 5x 4.5 bolt pattern.. any ideas guys??

Glad you found info...
I would go ahead and get the sn95 front set-up..more options for wheels, unless you have your heart set on a apecific wheel already that will work.

I have 94-95 tri-bars on mine. (same front conversion)..looks great, drives great, just want better brakes up front...

If you go with 31-spline axles, you'll need a 31-spline differential. Either an aftermarket like an Auburn or you can use a stock 31-spline rear diff out of a F-150.

for the axles, most companies will know what to sell ya when you order. but if you call summit or some warehouse type place, ask them for 94-95, 31 spline axles.

he can't use those, they are longer.

He plans on using drums in the rear so he needs 87-93 5-lug Fox axles.

No cars came stock with them, but many manufactures have them as it's a popular swap these days

I already have 31 spline axles, had my rear built about 4 years ago when my posi went, So I need to find a 5 lug drum. Not really in a huge hurry so I am collecting parts, I think i am going to go with the sn95 spindles and such for the front, and keep drums in the back. ITs just a weekend car, I have draglites on it now, looks great, but I LOVE!!! The way the simmons fr17's look on a mustang. Trying to clone the car in the link below.. Just need the rims now..
