2001 GT, car has March underdrive pullies. Alternator broke, replaced and forgot about the different pulley size. Already returned the core. Now i have the stock alternator pulley size and the belt tensioner is all the way down, and rattles when i put it in drive.

I think the stock belt is 93.5 inches. Anyone have any experience with this regarding a slightly smaller belt? All the sites i look on make me look up a belt by car type. What belt do i need? you think 93 inches would work.. to tight, not tight enough?

I think i am going to try dayco part number 5060930 - 93inch. Hope the .50 an inch does the trick. What pulley do you put the belt on last?

1/2 inch to 1 inch should work. Where did you buy the new alt and how long ago. Most autoparts stores have their shipments once a week. The autoparts store that i work for gets its shipment on tuesday so they might have your core still in the back.

The .5 inch did the trick, thanks. Easiest way btw in case anyone was wondering was to put the belt on the tensioner pulley last.
