Im looking into building an engine that can handle up to 20lbs of boost.
Im looking to start off around the 600hp level and move on up. I have heard that 550-600hp is the limit on the stock 5.0L blocks.

I will be building another 331 cu.in. engine but i don't know what is the best block to go with?(by "best" i mean easily accessible, decently priced, has stock bolt patterns, stuff like that)

Do i buy a Ford Racing Block, World Block, Dart Block???

What are your opinions.......
Thanks

I have used "R" blocks and never had a problem. All parts interchange, with in reason, and we have made 800-1400 HP depending on boost and application.

i have no experience with this, but the World Man-o-War block looks pretty nice; from the reviews that I've read.

go dart or go home, do as search you'll see that w/ the amount of machineing need on an R302 that you gonna be close to a Dart.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
