My friend works at a GM dealer and some old guy bought a redtop and took it to him to change it cause he thought his was dead He already had a redtop in his car. Ended up it was his altonator that wasn't working. So I stoped by to get my tow strap back and heard what was going on and asked the guy if he would take $80 for the Redtop and he said sure that would pay for most of the altonator I need. He gave me the new one and thought he gave me the used one. I have it in my truck right now. That was some good timming I thought.

Here's another vote for the Sears Diehard Gold. They come with a 3 year full replacement warranty and a additional 5+ year prorated warranty for a total of 8+ years. The Optima warranty is 3 and 3 for a total of 6 years. They weigh about the same at 35+/- pounds. The Diehard is $80 and the Optima is $136.
