stang gt i got ur sisters mustang jk but i was just curious because it does sound real fast but idk

thats funny, I don't have a sister.

Anyway theres a difference between sounding fast and being fast. Moreover, the torque multiplication from his gears are definitely adding to the "feel fast" illusion, but it's still a stock NPI motor that falls flat on its face past 4800 rpms. He'll have a jump off the line but you'll pass him and be in front at the 1/4

sad but true, i have 3.73's and my stang (PI intake but still NPI heads and cams) falls on it's face 4800+. Wish mine would shift sooner in 1st and 2nd, it goes to redline but thats way past where my powerband is, id pick up .3 at least if it were to shift at say 5k instead of 6k

i got my 3.73's on yesterday and it feels sooo good. esp after doing alot of boltons + cams before the gears, the stang has really woken up and makes soo much better use of its power now. it feels like a much lighter car and really wants to go. i dont know how you 4.10 guys do it, but i couldnt put up with any more gear than what i got now, esp with my exhaust setup.

Did the 3.73's make a huge difference? I've had 2 stangs since i was 16 (20 now) and this will be the first time that i'll do gears. Hearing about how amazing they are for the last 4-5 years make me think the car will feel ALOT faster and will want to move out alot better. How much truth is there to this though honestly? Will it feel like a GT does after a catback and o/r midpipe swap or is it a more noticeable gain?
BTW, gettin 3.73's because FI is in the near future

you could pick up a handheld tuner and adjust your WOT shiftpoints, that should do the trick
