My buddy owns an 03 Cobra and he wants it to sound like mine. I have a mac catback on my 2000GT and it sounds great. But I don't think I would put a poor quality exhaust on my 03Cobra. So, I want to recommend something that sounds great but doesn't rust. Some systems out there are too quiet or wierd sounding. Thanks for the help.

I like my MAC catback just fine. As far as rust is concerned, scrub the inside of the tailpipe with steel wool and primer it before installing it. I like the low rumble at idle to mid rpms and it screams at WOT.

Now that I have the FRPP catback, I would never use anything else.

i personally think mac makes good exhaust products. they sound really clean, and are loud as hell.

I had a mac cat-back on my 99 until i ditched the irs, and now i have spintech with my solid axle. the sound is similar.

Steeda and borla stingers... are they exactly the same? I can't find anyone with borla stingers in stock...

Also - I heard a rumor that my catless bassani x-pipe is hurting my performance and if I had one with cats I would get a lot more torque... is this bs ?

If i had'nt gotten the UNBELEIVABLE deal that I did on my Bassani C/B i was a day or so from ordering a borla stinger...I really wanted one. The stinger is a resonator exhaust and sounds much better than the SLP resonator I heard. I will be ordering a bassani X-pipe within a week or 2. It has removeable cats and race pipes to replace them and I plan to dyno it both ways and see first hand about torque losses. I'll post when I do. I did my baseline last fri before the intake and C/B was put on. RPM outlet in houston stocks stingers...rpmoutlet.com

That would be an awesome test. I really think the sales guy was trying to push the more expensive x-pipe with cats and would love to know your dyno results. Please let me know! I do like your kit though, a simple change and you have with or without.. I should have bought that one

If I were you and you are planning on spending the money, I would go with the Borla Stinger! The lowest that I have found it new is $569 @rpmoutlethttp://www.rpmoutlet.com/03borla.htm You can view the Bassani x-pipe I plan to get on their site too.
