Here is a pic of a car similar to mine with white stripes. Below it is one the same car, I photoshopped the stripes to black, ignore the small outline of white I am a photoshop Noob.

That was Txgti's car (from Fordpower.net). Beautiful car, he sold it for somewhere over 13k.

Thanks again guys for all the ideas. I think I am settling on Red with some ghosted stripes that are a tad lighter and only show up in certain angles and light. Kind of the best of straight red and stripes.

Imo strips look awful on most cars. There are a few cars that can get away with it and make it look awesome. The rest reminds me of my hs days when driving a 89 cvc w/white, blue, or black stripes was cool. I'm in the process of repainting mine soon. I'd prob change to lazer red, color code E9.

I think more than the stripes if you want to change it up a bit, go with the factory 2 tone (upper Lower).

Get a kick a** vibrant red paint job, the best that the car wash can afford, lol! Then do the stripes (white, black sucks) in vinyl. That way you can always remove them, if you end up not liking them. If you absolutely love them, you can always have them done in paint, later on.

So you like the ghost flame idea huh? How about this -

Get some light ghost stripes that start really low in the front, and as they move up the front of the car, they turn to a flame. They would be really light, and only show up in certain light, just like you stated. As they move up the hood, they would look like they a blazing. There is a car that was featured in 5.0 mag that had a ghost flame job on it that was hard to notice until the sun light hit it just right. It was a '99 Cobra with a Saleen body kit on it. It was the cover car. If anyone has the mag, can you scan the pics. I don't had a scanner on else I would.

Stripes and flames dont go together. spray the car red, tape some nice looking stripes an have your painter spray a lite pearl coat over the red. they will pop out in certain light.

Good idea. however I see 20 times more cars with flames out here in Calif. I just don't want flames. I know it has both, I just don't like flames and want something a little different.
