First of all what are your goals and budget?
Gears, I would definatly go with 4.10's, that should be the first thing you do, also do some subframes. As far as the tq converter that depends on your goals and budget.
I would go with what others are saying, about a 2000-2500 stall speed lockup converter, if you plan on doing a lot of other mods down the road I would go towards a 3000rpm stall speed converter.
The upper intake flows well, but the lower only flows about 130cfm per runner, so porting the lower intake would really help. I would contact TMOSS, he ports them for about $100, with shipping about $130 and all and all his customers seem very happy with the results. An aftermarket intake will not do much better with stock heads since the stock heads only flow about 150-160cfm, and his intake flows much better than that. Bigger isn't always better, you might just loose more velosity with an aftermarket intake over the TMOSS. TMOSS recomends a 65mm TB with his intakes.
