What could cause this?

For some reason when I push on my brake pedal, both of the lights for my turn signals outside the car come on along with my rear brake lights. I rewired the little plastic clip that plugs into my dash cluster for a tach dash. Could as wire going in the wrong place have caused this?

YES I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT!!!!! My stupid emergency flasher switch was stuck so it wasn't working. Now for some reason the arrows in the dash cluster don't work but the ones outside do work. So in a sense the turn signals work. Now I would like to get the ones inside going so I don't randomly leave my signals running. I think it is the lights are burned out for those. Can those lights burn out? If so are they easy to access, i just replaced the twist in ones for the whole cluster so I am assuming that this will be similar?

The twist in ones for your cluster ARE the turn signal lights. You seem to have had electrical problems since you did the tach conversion. I would go through that process again to check everything you did.

Max Power so if I have put in brand new bulbs in already for the twist in ones that light up the background of the guages. Does that rule out the light bulbs being the problem. I didn't know they were the same light bulb. Or are there two twist in ones that work separately for the turn signals?

WHOOPEEE!!!! The problem was easier than I thought. I located the bulbs like you said Max Power, changed them out and now they work fine. Thank you! Now my car can pass safety inspections. Now I gotta get that hood aligned and head out for the break in, as soon as my new carb gets here.
