After less than 24 hours of getting it we stripped it down to the block. We painted the engine bay gloss black and now doing heads, cam, intake, etc. After this we will be doing the suspension.
As it sits currently waiting for a little cooler weather and this weekend.
Nothing too exciting but I did an inner tie rod. A little research on Stangnet, borrowed the tool from Autozone, and the job was a snap. I was actually surprised at how easy it was.
Replaced crappy old valve covers with new Ford Racing ones. Had to order spacers to clear the roller rockers. I'm really happy with the outcome. Next up, drive the b*tch
I re-installed the strut tower brace and mildly clearanced it to clear the Trick Flow intake. Hopefully the new aluminum 3 row radiator will be here tomorrow so i can get that in.
Finally got my Cobra calipers for my brake upgrade/5 lug swap took 2 weeks to get but was worth it only paid $50.00 per caliper with bracket and they are reman and did not have to pay the core charge..
Installed NOS driver's side quarter glass, reinstalled interior pieces and removed interior pieces on passenger side to replace passenger side quarter glass tomorrow. Removing 22 year old butyl tape sucks.
Dropped in to check on my 88 which has been away at a local shop for almost a month for paint and some resto (like new rear quarter windows). Body work is done, priming is done and should be painted by Friday!
Drove down to sac town to pick up what I though were a set of used "b" springs for $60 and to my surprise I was wrong, they were brand new never installed. I love craigs when I find deals like this. Gonna wait to install with new shocks and cc plates. View attachment 185786 View attachment 185787 View attachment 185788
