what do do about fuel line

hello i have this car that used to run strictly drag and it has a huge fuel line all the way to the engine.i'm talking the size of my finger, big. anyway i have a 600 cfm carb like it says in my sig. read my sig. to help you advise what to do. i have a cheap electric fuel pump that says high volume but i don't think so. it takes a few second for the line to prime back up on cold starts. and i think it will starve for fuel in the higher rpm's. what you think, should i put 2 pumps on the line or switch to a smaller fuel line. i don't have the money to get a holley pump so that is out for now. please advise.

im no expert, but ill give you a bump. if it looks like a pain to run a smaller line, stick a bigger pump and regulator in. maybe a check valve too. once the line is filled, the small pump and carb should be compatible.
it is kinda like a single cylinder single stage air compressor. to fill the tank from scratch is a real struggle, but once it is full, the tool (your carb) and the air compressor motor (your fuel pump) should be pretty compatible. so maybe a check valve is all you need.

you could always just prime it pump for a little longer. i think a check valve would really help (no bleed off). the line should stay full overnight, etc.

just an idea or two.

well i forgot to add that it cranks just fine even after it bleeds off over night but when i rev it sometimes i here it cutting out in the higher rpms, it did not do that when i had the pump and test tank on the finder.but it would be easy to put a smaller hose on it. then i could save this line until i get the money for a better pump. where cani get a check valve
