since i am going to have to pull my tranny since my 5th gear busted. i will have to fix 5th and my 4th gear syncho is going bad.

i printed off a nice 22 page guide off the net to help me. i can get a hold of all the tools easily.

i saw hanlon has refresh kits at like 60 bucks. doesnt anyone know what these have in them?

Just the blocker rings and other small wearable parts like roll pins and c-clips.


Their more expensive kit comes with bearings, but these rarely go bad.

Should be good with the basic kit, but inspect the dog teeth on the input shaft and 3-4 synchro for wear due to grinding it

well it was supposedly rebuilt not long ago so i bet the bearing are fine. i can but the 3-4 synchro by itself if i need one right?

Yes, you can buy it separately from Hanlon's website.

In the rebuild, you only replace the blocker rings. These are the wearable parts. Other parts may get damaged also that are not included in the rebuild. That is why i usually tell people to open the trans and inspect before ordering anything
