What do "I have to do to polish my S-trim and upper intake manifold?

From what I can understand i just start with a low-grit sand paper and then move up to finer grits. What about after to protect and make it shine? What do i need to protect? Can i polish the pulley since its purple and im not really a fan of purple? Any tips/tricks? Now that my car is relativly fast im going to make it look good and start entering shows possibly. Thanks for the help

When I had my blower I did polish the back side of it. Was about to do the front and bailed out. If the pulley is aluminum then just use 400 grit and then a compound. On the head unit start with 320 and work your way up. For the front I would say paint it. Too much of a hassle to get inside those little squares.
