What do the 17" Mach 1 wheels look like in person?

From the pics, it seems they would be black, or dark charcoal color like my current magnum 500s:

But in this shot, and others of 2003 machs, they almost do not look painted, just a silver coat:


I dont like the second pic, and id like them to be black for more contrast. Anyone got pics on there cars? Thanks.

They are available blacked out and solid aluminum. I too like the blacked out versions.

from what i understand, the sides are anthracite and the fronts of the spokes are machined/satin

I own a set of OEM '04 Mach wheels and the inserts are a semi-metalic gray/charcoal. They are not as dark as the first image you posted makes it appear, and depending on lighting angle, they're not as light as they appear on the second pic. I love the way they look on my 67 but a lot of people say they don't go with the classic look of the car.

The original paint was called Argent and looked different depending on how the light hit it, it could go from almost a black to a light grey like the second pic.

I'm 39 years old and I really don't care for the FWD look of the wheels myself. I'm not saying a total deep dish is the way to go, but I like the inside inset a little.

Not sure why the manufacturers have gone this route, it's just not my cup of tea.
